About

Since 1992, the Harry Bridges Center for Labor Studies (Bridges Center) has supported a variety of labor-focused research projects and programs. The Center has awarded hundreds of grants, convened special working groups, conferences, and more. This funding has resulted in dozens of reports, books, articles, and more.

The need for more focused research on workers’ issues on campus and beyond was prevalent, and in 2023, the Bridges Center implemented its own applied research team. This team, led by the Center’s Research Director with a staff Researcher, Research Assistants, and interns, has allowed the Bridges Center to conduct research and provide policy recommendations to the labor movement in Seattle and the greater Washington area.  Please review the “Research Team” tab to learn more about our work and to reach out with research requests.
