Anna Lovasz is a Lecturer of Economics at UW Tacoma, and a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Economics in Budapest, Hungary. Her research interests include Labor, Education, and Behavioral Economics, focusing mostly on issues related to gender and families. She received her PhD in Economics from UW Seattle in 2008, her dissertation studied the effect of increased competition on the gender wage gap in Hungary following the transition. Her current research includes econometric analyses of the effects of parenthood and family policies on the situation of women in the labor market, as well as experimental research on the effects of environmental elements such as feedback and competition on gender differences in participation and performance.
