Andrew Hedden is Associate Director of the Harry Bridges Center for Labor Studies at the University of Washington. He is a historian of urban and labor history focused on the Pacific Northwest. His work has been published most recently in the Journal of Urban History and a chapter in the book Seattle’s Working Waterfront, 1884- Present. He also leads regular walking and bus tours of Seattle history for students, activists, and educators, and serves as a trustee of the Pacific Northwest Labor History Association. He earned a PhD in History from the University of Washington in 2023.
