The Harry Bridges Center for Labor Studies is excited to welcome a new student to our staff this year!

Shoaib Laghari

Shoaib is an incoming undergraduate freshman at the University of Washington, looking to develop his passion for activism through the Harry Bridges Center. Born in Pakistan and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, Shoaib hopes to learn how doers do in Seattle, an area much more progressive than he is used to.

Shoaib is interested in studying International Economics and Political Economy at the UW, with a strong desire to develop a more just, connected, and compassionate international system. As the Bridges Center’s Student Assistant, Shoaib plans to not only learn about and contribute to the labor movement in Seattle but understand the inside perspective of driving social change in the world.
