The Harry Bridges Center for Labor Studies will close Tuesday, May 15 in honor of the day-long strike called by academic student employee union UAW 4121.

The union, which represents several members of the Bridges Center staff, has been bargaining with the University of Washington since February. The University has continued to demand graduate employees accept an effective pay cut while denying proposals for stronger equity measures, such as trans-inclusive healthcare and increased sexual harassment training.
