State of the Student Worker 2026 Survey

The Harry Bridges Center for Labor Studies is conducting a survey as a follow up to the State of the Student Worker study conducted in 2023-24. We’re interested in understanding of the ways work influences the student experience at the UW Seattle campus, as well as any worker rights violations faced by UW students.

All responses will remain anonymous and confidential within the Bridges Center.

Respondents must be at least 18 years old and an undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in at least 6 credits at the University of Washington (UW) Seattle campus and work in at least 1 paid position. The position does not have to be in association with UW.

All information provided will be de-identified during study activities and formation of the final report. All data will be stored on a password-protected database. If you’d like to be added to the raffle to win $100, we will only require your email. Your privacy is of utmost importance. Everyone deserves to feel comfortable while participating in projects such as this.

Please reach out to the research team at hbclsresearch@gmail.com or Rachel Erstad, Research Director, at rerstad@uw.edu if you have any questions or concerns.
