On February 13th, the Bridges Center was proud to host a panel of eight labor leaders representing a variety of positions, experiences, and paths to working in labor for a discussion with students, faculty, and community. There are many ways to work in and be involved in the labor movement - and all ways are important! Panelists answered guided questions, as well as questions from attendees. Panelists candidly shared their experiences and perspectives related to working in the labor movement now, as well as their hopes for the future of the labor movement and workers' rights.

Panelists included (in alphabetical order by last name):

  • Morgan Currier (Lead Contract organizer, SEIU CIR)
  • Eunice How (Lead Community and Political Organizer, UNITE HERE Local 8)
  • Amy Leong (Lead Organizer, APALA)
  • Ada Lin (Researcher, SEIU Healthcare 1199NW)
